The most rewarding and powerful difference I feel that I can attempt within any community is primary prevention. This is one of the reasons why I chose to pursue a career in Family Medicine. I am currently in my last year of the only Aboriginal Family Medicine program across Canada. My program is based in Victoria and my medical interests include women’s health, adolescent health and sexual health. My interests outside of medicine include snowboarding with my husband, hiking and basketball. I feel ultimately blessed to be in my position and I have so many to thank, thank you!

I have recently obtained my diploma in the Administrative Information Management Diploma Program at Sait Polytechnic. Being a mothert, a full-time student and working at the same time has been a significant challenge, yet memorable experience for me. My goals for the future is to obtain my degree in the Bachelor of Professional Arts: Communication Studies.
